The second offering from Brigit Saint Brigit's Irish Theatre in Repertory, the play is set in early 17 during a civil rights march in Derry City, Northern Ireland. As the scene opens, three dead bodies are photographed and given their last rites before being dragged offstage. An English judge then appears and provides some background These three people came together, seized possession of a civic building and openly defied the security forces. The facts may indicate that the deceased were callous terrorists who had planned to seize the Guildhall weeks before or the misguided scheme occurred to them on that very day while they listened to revolutionary speeches.

As the play continues, it becomes apparent that neither of these scenarios apply. Suffering from gas inhalation and burned eyes, Michael Hegarty (Daniel Dorner), an idealistic student; Lily Doherty (Charleen Willoughby), a 4-year-old housecleaner and mother of 11; and Skinner (Scott Kurz), a cynical vagabond who lives by his wits, unknowingly wander inside the Guildhall for some clean air; the side door has been left unlocked and unguarded during the commotion. While they recover, the trio sups fine spirits, dresses in government robes and marvels at the opulence around them. But they aren't terrorists. As Hegarty says, all they want is what everyone should be entitled to a decent home, a place of employment that offers a fair wage and a free city in which to raise their children. Unfortunately, the odds are against them and the only thing they are destined for is more misery.

Directed by Cathy M.W. Kurz, Freedom of the City is one of the finest productions to grace an Omaha stage in years. It is thought-provoking and socially relevant material that can leave its audience speechless. It also asks questions that few do, including what role do economics play in such an event and when a tragedy occurs do we ever really learn the truth. In Freedom of the City , the tension and fear is so high during the demonstration that the police officers and media inflate the gravity of the situation, saying that as many as 40 people may be involved and that because the Guildhall is a symbol to the Unionists the outcome will probably be like the fall of the Bastille. When preconceptions such as these exist, the only possible outcome is knee-jerk reaction, serious regret and lives lost.

"Amazon.co.uk is the trading name for Amazon.com Intl Sales, Inc. and Amazon Services Europe SARL. Both companies are subsidiaries of Amazon.com--the leading online retailer of products that inform, educate, entertain and inspire. The Amazon group also has online stores in the United States, Germany, France, Japan and Canada. Amazon.co.uk has its origins in an independent online store, Book pages, which was established in 16 and acquired by Amazon.com in early 18." (Amazon.co.uk).

The primary focus of Amazon is selling books via the internet. They also sell and distribute millions of other product too. From cameras to coffee machines, exercise videos to Elvis CDs, they sell just about anything a consumer may be looking for. The company also allows independent sellers to sell new and used items on their Web site via Amazon.co.uk Marketplace. Additionally they give you a variety of resources to help you make your choice, including customer reviews and personal recommendations.

In the article "Amazon adventure" taken from Internet Magazine, we get a tour of the Amazon distribution center in the United Kingdom. The distribution center is a 46,460 square meter warehouse which houses products sold by Amazon. Each item is systematically picked from its storage location, sent to a packaging area and then on to the shipping department to be shipped to each customer. As stated by Marl Mastandrea, the distribution center's manager, "the idea is to keep an even flow," because it is very important in keeping the cycle time to a minimum. From the moment the product is delivered to the door from its hundreds of suppliers, to where it is sent to storage via conveyor belts with totes before the product is picked packaged and shipped to the customer, Amazon maintains an even flow process.

The company uses a "picker" much like we have in the On Semiconductor distribution center warehouse. The operator either inputs the order in a computer or in this case, a voice operation, and the "picker" goes to the location the item is stored, picks the item and by conveyor belts, sends the order to the sorting area. The items are then sorted by order and sent on to the shipping area where the items can be packaged for shipping. When items require manual picking the system gives the staff the shortest possible route to take to gather the items for shipping.

As stated by a customer from Switzerland, "Amazon is an extraordinary company, doing business on the Web in a real customer oriented way." This is truly found with the workers and their environment. Music is played throughout the distribution center for the workers to work by and their "working philosophy -- work hard, have fun, make history--is actually quite revealing. (Amazon.co.uk) The employees work in small teams and care about what they do as they know their customers are counting on them. The company promotes cross-functional team work to provide all sorts of experience from other parts of the company. This is an attribute to "keeping an even flow." During the Christmas holidays the staff from the main office actually works in the distribution center with everyone else which boosts the employees' moral.

The channel of distribution is created by the team work of everyone who works at this distribution center. The team diversity encourages creativity and an open exchange of ideas across groups for the challenges and tradeoffs present across this business. The hands-on approach by the employees, no matter what their role is, ensures that the distribution center's products get to the customers on time.

Our staff of freelance writers includes over 120 experts proficient in World Trade Center, therefore you can rest assured that your assignment will be handled by only top rated specialists. Order your World Trade Center paper at affordable prices ! September 11th began as any other usual day. People were off to work and to school, but then the unbelievable occurred. First one airplane crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center and then a few moments later another plane hit the other tower. Many innocent lives were taken because of these horrible terrorist actions. Even more lives were taken, when the rescuers tried to save the lives of these innocent people. Now what stands at the World Trade Center is nothing, but a huge hole. Americans lost some sense of pride. I believe the best way to gain our pride back is to rebuild even larger and better towers with a memorial there also to remember the lives lost that day.

A larger and better building is most appropriate to build at the World Trade Center site. These two new towers will be even bigger than before. Both towers will stand about 10 stories high. The towers will both be black during the day. At nighttime, the towers will be lit up with red, white, and blue lights, as if it was the American flag. The red, white, and blue lights will represent our true American colors. These towers will stand out even more than before and could be seen from almost anywhere. People will once again come to visit our beautiful and precious World Trade Center buildings as they did before.

This new World Trade Center will be filled with many different facilities. One of the towers would include a mall in the first ten floors. In the mall will be clothing stores, electronic stores, and fast food restaurants. Above these ten floors will be all office space. The other tower will have fancy restaurants and souvenir stands on the first couple of floors. The rest of the floors will also be all office space.

The world trade center will still be a target of another terrorist attack. So these towers will need to be made much stronger than before so another catastrophe like September eleven will never occur again. They would be made strong and durable enough to resist another airplane crashing into it and collapsing the way it did before. They will be made out of a different type of steel to resist heavy flames, so they won't collapse as fast as they did last time.

Help with essay on World Trade Center

The rebuilding of the World Trade Center would include a big round memorial wall. This round memorial wall will be located right in front of the two new towers as you enter the facility. It will be engraved with all of the known names of the people that were lost during this horrible incidence. This wall will include all the people that were in the buildings, the planes, and the rescuers. In the center of the round memorial wall, there will be a large fountain. Red, white, and blue lights will surround the fountain water sprays to give an American flag reflection. There will be a park built right behind the memorial between the towers. This park will be full with grass, trees, a playground, and benches and tables. The name of this new park will be World Trade Center

Memorial Park. A day care center will also be built in this facility. This will be for all the children of the employees in the towers.

I believe if we rebuild these towers it will benefit our economy and the city. The towers will open up more jobs and once again bring people all over the world to come visit. This will help our economy get out of the little setback we are in right now. These towers will also help the city gain back some its pride back. The city lost one of its most valuable trademarks. This is why it is very important to rebuild these towers. We also have to rebuild these towers because if we don't it's a sign of defeat. If we rebuild them, it shows that we were able to rebuild from this horrible event. It shows that we as Americans are able to rebuild from anything but we will always remember though.

Order your I want a car paper at affordable prices ! Starting now, lets decide that a trip to the store has just as much potential as a trip to the islands. Lets decide that every mile on the odometer could be the start of a new adventure. Make memories. Keep amplifying your life. Create stories to tell your kids one day. Have fun out there. After all, this is the new 00 Saturn ION series!!

It all starts with a simple decision, a decision about which ION is right for you. Is it the sedan or the quad coupe? The streamlined ION1, the nicely equipped ION, or the extra deluxe ION?Smarter choices. One sign that youre all grown up is when you start making smarter choices. Like looking beyond the ION1s sporty looks and funky personal accents and making your decision based on its amazingly low M.S.R.P. of 11,5, or making sure to buy a car with plenty of room for 5 passengers because you can never have to many friends. All are signs leading to a smarter path. The ION1 also offers dual stage driver and front passenger air bags. This feature not only provides maximum protection from collisions but also from the force oft he air bag itself. It senses the severity of the crash and deploys the air bags at the appropriate force, reducing risk of injury resulting from the air bag. Easy to own. You wont need to buy a car maintainence for dummies book for this car. Save that money for, well, something else that youre not so good at. Among other things, the computer calculates when the oil should be changed, and you can see through the fluid containers so even you know when they need more. Personal accents. Just as your life can change in little interesting ways so can the ION1. Choose different trim pieces to create the look you want for the roof rail, instruments, and gearshift trim, ECT. Trunk Volume. Youre not the only one going places; your stuff may need room too. 14.7 cubic feet, the largest trunk in its class. And finally, Polymer panels. These flexible panels ward off nicks and dings. They dont rust or corrode, and they keep the car looking newer longer, which youll be thankful for come resale time.

More confidence. Youve got enough sense to play it cool on the road. Unfortunately, you seem to be part of a rare breed. All the more reason to drive with added confidence of a steel space frame construction; just one of many safety and performance features that come standard with the ION. The ION is like an adult who, every once and awhile, lets the kid out. Much like you Shawntra. To see what I mean, listen up. Quiet, smooth ride. The thick windshield, solid space frame, electric power steering, front and rear stabilizing bars, hydraulic engine mounts and other features makes for a quiet and smooth ride. Available 5 speed automatic transmission, providing an efficient use of the engines power. Youll notice the smooth acceleration as when passing through traffic. The ION offers what I like to call a center mounted instrument cluster. Simply meaning that all the instruments are found in the dashboard, so eyes naturally glance at them when looking at the horizon. One less reason to look down.

Safety is job 1 for Saturn. Two features that highlight this point are; first, a rigid steel space frame, which provides exceptional crash protection, for those exceptional crash experts, like myself. And second, the many-times mentioned dual-stage airbags, which minimize the risk of injury from the force of the air bag. The ION includes standard features that you expect and some that will raise your eyebrow. Power door locks with an anti-lockout feature. Air conditioning with dust and pollen filters. AM/FM/CD player with four range speakers.

Finally, get better, not older. Why settle down when you can settle up? You paid your dues through school, and entry-level jobs. Its time that you got everything you paid for. Like power windows, door locks, and mirrors, remote keyless entry with alarm, foglamps, cruise control, air conditioning, 16 alloy wheels, and Saturns Advanced Audio System. In short, demand the ION. A car so packed with deluxe features, you wont believe it has an M.S.R.P. starting out at only 15,575. Available in the ION is a 6 disc in dash CD player with advanced audio system. The ION is a quiet ride until of course, you opt otherwise. It comes with a 160-watt amplifier and six premium speakers. What other car offers options such as steel space frame construction with head curtain side air bags? The rigid steel space frame provides superior crash protection while the head curtain side air bags protect the head and neck from side-impact collisions. They inflate in 1/0th of a second, and drop down like curtains. Leather Appointments are also available. A luxurious option with a practical touch. Practical meaning easy clean up for juice and coffee spills.

No matter which ION you choose from, you truly cannot go wrong. Every ION is outfitted a . liter, 140 horsepower, 16 valve, 4 cylinder engine. Youll be hard pressed to find this much power in other cars of this class. But it doesnt stop at power. Features like four valves per cylinder and twin balance shifts make for a smooth and quiet ride. Other features include electric power steering, dual power outlets, and a turn signal left on reminder- thoughtfully designed to prevent the embarrassment of blinking down your way down 50 miles of highway.

The ION is not just a car it's a means of escape. Let's talk for a moment about the unbridled joy that comes with having your own ION, the sheer freedom of it. A single set of keys can take you from wherever you are, to places you have never been. And because the ION is generous on space, you can always bring a couple of friends along for the ride. Built to be roomy, powerful, and easy to maintain, the ION is the key to an ever-expanding collection of good driving memories. It's engine is designed to be quite enough to allow all those life-changing conversations the road seems to inspire, but if you listen closely, daddy, if you listen closely, you can hear it say, Go Shortie, its your birthday. Remember follow the map only to the degree that you feel like it. CarMax, check it. Spontaneity taps you on the shoulder and announces, its time to go. Call you homeboys and promise mad fun for their mental boxes. Jump in the car, find the nearest on ramp, and put some miles between you and your front door. Arrive at the basketball court, shoot some hoops. Flirt with every lil' shortie that walks by. Head to Bennigans for food and a late night drink, but before heading home send a postcard from you to you. Corny? Maybe not. Think of it as inspiration for grayer days. Want a Saturn ION yet?

In the given question, carpet manufacturer and wholesalerQuality Carpets (Carpets, as will be indicated in later discussion for abbreviation) ordered 10,000 lineal meters of "textureweave" from Cotton and Flax Pty Ltd (Cotton) under certain contract terms. Carpets used "textureweave" to manufacture its own carpets, and sold it to carpet retailers throughout Australia and New Zealand. After the order of "textureweave" arrived on Monday 8, July, Carpets sequentially mixed it to produce carpet during the next few days. Since Carpets started fall into voluntary liquidation on 1st August, Cotton and Flax was raising legal concerns with all unpaid "textureweave" from Carpets.

Under the contract of sale which involves certain Clause as following

"Property in the goods sold will not pass to the buyer until

[b] The purchase price has been paid in full and the buyer has paid all other debts owed to seller;

[d] IF payment becomes overdue, and it is deem due if there is any act of insolvency by the buyer, the seller may recover and resell the goods; and

[e] If the goods, before payment, are incorporated in or used as material for other goods, the property in those other goods will vest in the seller, and his entitlement will attach to the proceeds of sale thereof and the debt due to the buyer on such sale, but only for so long as the seller's debt is unpaid"

The issues

Whether Cotton can

• Go to Carpets plant and take back the unused portion of "textureweave"

And/ Or

• Seize that amount of Carpets which was made using the rest of the "textureweave".

Legal Precedent--- "Romalpa Clause"

The identical circumstance encountered in the Carpets v Cotton case is remained in the famous Romalpa Case, which is the dispute between Aluminum Industry Vaassen BV and Romalpa Aluminum Ltd

The plantiffs sold foil to the defendants, under certain contract. Later on, the defendants got into serious financial difficulties and went into receivership. The plaintiffs claimed that they were entitled to the amount of money that was the proceeds from selling to third parties in priority to the secured and unsecured creditors.

In their contract, it is provided that the ownership of the material to be delivered by the plaintiffs will only be transferred to the defendants when they have met all that is owing to the plaintiffs. And, if the foil had been mixed with other material by the defendants for the purpose of creating new "objects', the ownership of any such objects was to be transferred to the plaintiffs as " surety' for " full payment' and until full payment had been made the defendants were to keep the mixed goods for the plaintiffs as "fiduciary owner'.

Therefore, it is quite obvious that the foil that had been delivered to the defendant still belongs to the plaintiff, as the defendant hadn't made a full payment until their receivership. And, it was held that, those amounts of money, which was the proceeds from sale of goods manufactured with the foil, should be entitled to the plaintiffs in this case.

This is right the case where Romalpa clause came from. The purpose of the Romalpa clause is to protect the seller from the insolvency of the buyer where the price remains unpaid and to defeat the claims of other creditors with registered charges who would otherwise take priority over the interest of the seller.

The basic format of the clause is a stipulation in the conditions of sale that the property in the goods sold to the buyer and of which he or she is allowed to take possession will not pass to the buyer until either the purchase price has been fully paid or all other debts not just purchase price owing by the buyer to the seller has been fully paid. This stipulation is usually extended as

(a) If the buyer incorporates the goods in some other product, the title to the end-product will not pass to the buyer until either the purchase price of the goods or the total indebtedness of the buyer to the seller is fully paid up.

(b) If the buyer resells the goods to a sub-purchaser during ordinary business, the proceeds of such resale or the debt due to the buyer from the sub-purchaser are held by the buyer on behalf of the seller.

However, the Romalpa clause was derived from a multi-national background (English & Holland), we cannot suggest Cotton, the plaintiff in our case, explicitly based on Romalpa clause. We have to go over the interpretation of Romalpa clause in the background of Australian legal system

Firstly, if the goods are still in the possession of the buyer and have not been resold or incorporated in other products or altered in any way but remain identifiable, effect will be given to the clause. Secondly, if the goods have been used in the manufacture of a new product, then, if they have been so consumed so that they no longer exist, or if they have been incorporated in the new product even though still identifiable, the clause cannot be invoked on the seller's behalf to enable her or him to recover the goods. The seller is only entitled to a charge on the new product and any provision purporting to confer ownership of the new goods on the seller will be ineffective.

Therefore, as far as the Carpets v Cotton case is concerned, Cotton could definitely take back the "textureweave" that hadn't been used yet, under both the contract term [c] and the implication of the first part of Romalpa clause.

For those amounts of carpet which was made using the rest of the "textureweave", it seems that under the contract term [e], Cotton could take those amounts of carpet back as well in the first sight. However, under the propositions of Romalpa clause established by authorities, which would be applicable in Australia, Cotton could not attempt to be entitled to the carpets. Since it is very possible for Carpets to have borne the cost of manufacture of the new product and may have provided other materials for incorporation in the new goods, whether the "textureweave" was identifiable or not, the clause cannot be invoked on the Cotton's behalf to enable them to recover the goods, although there is no doubt that the carpets were made from the "textureweave" they provided to Carpets. The parties cannot intend on the determination of the contract simply because of the buyer's breach, the seller should gain the windfall of the full value of the new product. Therefore, Cotton was only entitled to a charge on the carpets, but not all of the carpets.

The assumptions

As we just mentioned, Cotton could not seize that amount of carpets, what if some amount of the carpets that were made using " textureweave" provided by Cotton had been sold to the third parties?

Assumption 1 Proceeds of Resale

Since Quality Carpets (Buyer) voluntarily liquidated on Friday 1 August right after the arrival of order of " textureweave" on Monday 8 July, assumptions come with the regarding to the Carpets' resold and unsold products which was made using rest of "textureweave" from Cotton.

• Contract Law (1-185) Romalpa Clause

According to the Romalpa Clause illustrated under the Contract of Sale between Quality carpets (Buyer) and Cotton Flax (Seller). The creditable remedies of proceeds of resale without reasonable payment will be demonstrated as below. Applied to Contract term [c], this clause does not impact on the ordinary course of buyer's business. However, seller owns the equity of all moneys including profits received by the buyer through these goods resale. Meanwhile, this amount should be directly paid into an individual bank account trusted by seller. It means the proportion of money is not available for use by buyer except to make payment to seller; whereas, if the sum exceeds the amount owed to the seller, it is obviously the seller has not right to keep the excess part. It shows that the situation is only involving a mortgage or charge (it will be demonstrate in corporations law part).

Furthermore, possibly, seller has not only the right to claim for belonging goods, but also the right to claim any other goods which have been made with the goods sold. These proceeds will bring additional benefit to seller from buyer.

These can be inferred from cases 1) Borden (UK) ltd v Scottish Timber Products Ltd. The seller of resin is not legally offered the right to claim for the other goods that have been made with this material. However, ) Re Peachdart Ltd stands for that the leather's owner can claim for the other goods. Overall, the transferred claims to other goods are account for the nature of the factual materials. Another point here is the repair contract won't be held by the law to make claims of goods possession.

• Corporation Law

Within the definition of sec. of the corporations law, the clause [c] and [e] are not sufficient to approval the charge between these two parties, so the detailed provision cannot govern actions of seller and also no obligation for seller to submit "registrable charge" under Section 6.

Assumption Bailment relationship

Regarding to determine the equitable rights, liabilities and obligations of the two parties arise from the operation of the claims to the proceeds of resale. It can be assumed that the relationship between Cotton and Flax and Quality Carpets involves a bailment.

Under this assumption, if the bailee sells the goods bailed, the bailor can in equity follow the proceeds, and can follow the proceeds where they can be distinguished either being actually kept separate, or being mixed up with other moneys. Quality Carpets has resold the goods that involved a sale of the seller's goods, and therefore Cotton and Flax is entitled the right to claim the profit, the proceeds belonging in equity to the sellers.

The arguments arise in the following aspects.

Firstly, in the present case, the fact is that the seller may in some circumstances (the payment has not been made by the buyer on the due date) be entitled to reclaim the goods delivered to the buyer. This transaction does not make the bailment exist.

Secondly, a bailment involves that there may be some circumstances in which the bailee is obliged to redeliver the very same goods to the bailor. The used textureweave will never be redelivered to the seller; therefore the transaction simply cannot be a bailment.

Thirdly, as mentioned above, the seller is entitled the proceeds of resale. It is unlikely that the Cotton and Flax intended the whole of the proceeds of sale. The seller just draft the clause to give him some security even after the goods has been resold.

It is clear from the points above that the relationship between the two parties is creditors and debitors, and any attempt by the seller to claim title over the proceeds of resale will be a charge or mortgage requiring registration.

Conclusion

Whilst in our judgement, based on implication of retention or reservation of title clause in contract and certain provisions adopted under Contract law, Cotton is wholly entitled to all the unused portion of the "textureweave" prior to other creditors. However, regarding to mixed and used part of this material, Cotton is only entitle to charge carpets which can only limited to the amount of its selling to Carpets not the whole set of carpets. It has also to be stressed that under different circumstances, seller (Cotton) has slight different provisions to guide for enforcing their entitlements such as sold and unsold carpets that we have mentioned in our assumptions.

Odin, the main god of Norse mythology, steps right into the light that Zeus lived in for so long. He has now given hope to the northerners.

Most believe that this religion originated in Asia, and was modified in the European Mediterranean lands. It eventually was carried north and west by migrating humans. Then as the Norsemen explored these areas they brought back tidbits of different myths and their culture was formed. (Daly, pg. x)

Today the Norse people are called Scandinavians. These are the people of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland. They were often thought of as warriors of the Viking Age. This misconception was probably because they were excellent shipbuilders, navigators and great explorers with a strong sense of family and clan loyalty. These characteristics can also be found in Vikings. They loved a good story while holding other characteristics such as quick wit, great craftsmanship and extraordinary fighting abilities. To the Norse, extraordinary fighting abilities was a way to show others you were no longer a boy, but a man. (pg. ix)

This religion has little material that survived the years of the Norse. Most information comes from metal and stone carvings. These old stone carvings are able to tell us about the rituals of the Norse and about the gods and goddesses. (pg. ix)

One of the most interesting things about the Norse is the stories. To understand the Norse people, the best story to know is how they believe man was created. The story begins as Odin, Villi, and Ve were walking along the edge of the sea admiring their work on planet Earth or as the Norse knew it, Midgard. The three Gods came across two fallen trees on this sandy beach. ( Pg. )

One tree was an elm; the other was an ash. Odin decided to give each tree the spark of life. Villi then endowed them with spirit and then the thirst for knowledge. Ve then granted them the gift of the five senses. When the gods were finished, the trees ended up looking like smaller Gods. ( Pg. )

The man that came from the ash tree was named Ask. The woman came from the elm tree and was named Embla. The sons of Bor then granted these new beings the realm of Midgard. Midgard was the name for the planet Earth. ( Pg. )

As stated earlier, the Norsemen are seriously involved with family togetherness and clan loyalty. This is why they have so many festivals and holidays. The most important holiday is Jul. This is the celebration of the Norse New Year. On December 0, the God Ingvi Freyr rides over the earth on the back of his boar, bringing light and love back into the world. The children would then leave their boots out by the hearth, filled with hay and sugar for Ingvi Freyr's journey. In return he would leave them gifts for their kindness. Over time Ingvi's journey became Santa Claus's trip around the world. These traditions were mirrored in modern times by leaving cookies and carrots and then receiving presents. (Norse Holidays and Festivals)

After Jul takes place, the feast honoring Thor takes place. The god Thor is the protector is Midgard or Earth. During this time of Thurseblot, which is the height of the storm season, Thor's job is to push back the frost so that spring may return to Midgrad. (Norse Holidays and Festivals)

Disting was on the nd of February making it a festival of planting and of finance. This was the time that all land was prepared for planting and cattle were tallied. When the tallying of cattle was done, a person's wealth was decided. If the owners of a new calve was born during Disting, they were said to have received a sign of good prosperity for the year. (Norse Holidays and Festivals)

Ostara is another festival that is for the goddess of spring. This is a festival of renewal, rejoicing and fertility. It takes place on March 0-1st. Here the gifts of colored eggs to one's friends and loved ones was a way of wishing them well. In our modern day, Easter is the holiday where we hunt for eggs. On Easter, the renewal of Jesus and rejoicing takes place. (Norse Holidays and Festivals)

Einherjar was a minor festival honoring the warriors who fell during battle. The date for this festival is May 0. Today we honor all our fallen heroes in any war on one special day. That one-day is called Memorial Day, which is our modern day Einherjar. (Norse Holidays and Festivals)

On June 0th-1st the celebration of Midsummer took place. This was the time where foreign trade took place and well as shipping, fishing expeditions, and raiding. This was known as the festival of power and activity. They also recognized this day as the longest day of the year. After the 1st the days grew shorter and the year began to age. (Norse Holidays and Festivals)

The last important holiday was the Winternights festival. It took place in October on the th- November nd and marked the time to remember the dead and one's ancestors. It also was the end of the summer season of commerce and travel. It was now time for hunting season. The fates of the coming year were foretold in this time period too. They say Halloween correspond with the festival of Winternights. (Norse Holidays and Festivals)

The festival of Einherjar involves closely with the beliefs of the Norse. These people measured life by their heroic standards. They did not look forward to heaven or eternal joy. They looked forward to dying in battle. An after life in Valhalla, the God Odin's Hall, was all they wanted. As soon as the warriors died they were told Valkyries; maidens of Odin would lead them, to Valhalla. Only to feast and engage in mock battles forever. (Norse Holidays and Festivals)

While those who died from sickness or old age went to the Kingdom of Hel. Hel is actually a witch who is the God of Tricks. The domain was shadowy with walls that were a mess of writhing serpents. The hall of Odin was much more intriguing. (John Bowker, pg. )

In the end, if the Roman Empire wouldn't have collapsed under corrupt people, Norse mythology would have never come about. These intelligent beings saw their first belief system crash to the ground, but quickly picked up bits and pieces of other religions to create one that suited them perfectly. It was Christianity that slowly over took all Norse mythology believers. If Christianity hadn't come about or spawned the idea of smaller religions, would you be a Norse mythology believer?
